PXP SALESCONNECT

Role: Project Manager

SCENARIO

Problem

Cisco launched the Partner Experience Platform (PXP), a new space dedicated to their partners. This new platform would enable partners to access predictive analytics, actionable insights, and guided selling experiences to drive their growth and margin improvements.

Solution

Update the site dedicated to PXP in order to better represent the product.

Challenges

The SalesConnect page for PXP was created prior to its launch, however the page was in dire need of a refresh. The images used did not properly reflect the brand and the team had limited resources on who could update the site.

Challenge #1: Update outdated images

Challenge #2: Rearrange icons for a better user experience

Challenge #3: Use limited resources to align with Cisco standards

RESEARCH

Using Cisco's Brand Exchange system, the best icons and images were selected that would reflect PXP. After selecting every item needed, a design plan with the options chosen were presented to stakeholders. Upon sharing suggestions, they were in agreement with the options shown to them.

Over the span of 3 weeks, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) was used to make updates to the backend of the SalesConnect page. Within this timeframe items were rearranged, images were replaced and text was updated to give PXP SalesConnect the refreshed look it needed.

CONCLUSION

Reflections

Being given the responsibility of updating one of Cisco's latest platforms, was rewarding and challenging. AEM was a new system that took some time to fully understand however, learning how to use the system allowed me to enhance my skills. The biggest challenge was ensuring that Cisco guidelines were followed, as they are strict about about how their brand is portrayed. In addition, I wanted to make sure the innovation of PXP was properly represented.

Thinking Ahead

The refresh took place at the end of 2021, so a new update will need to take place in order to ensure that the look and feel will remain up to date. In lieu of making sure the next update surpasses the last one, the process of fully understanding how PXP has changed since its initial launch has already begun taking place. The next visual phase of PXP SalesConnect will be an exciting journey.

UPDATE

A New Challenge: Cisco, converted from Adobe Experience Manager to SalesForce's Experience Builder to enhance the user experience. This required a third update to the PXP SalesConnect page.
